Hi! What are you doing? I was just about to study Power wards. Then, I learned a interesting ward. That is..."FRUITFUL"! I'm interest in this word, because the origin of "fruitful" is really imaginable and easy to learn.
Usually, "FRUIT-" means something such as an apple or orange or banana etc..., and can be eaten as food, right? But it also means both the good result of someone's work or actions and it produces successful results. It's meaningful! "Fruit" is translated as "Kudamono" or "kajitu" , and sometimes just "Mi" in Japanese. What is even more interesting, "Mi" means the same as good results or successes, too!! For example, "実を結ぶ(mi wo musubu)" means almost achieving something such as work or goal. In short, "bear fruit" in English!
Next, "-FUL" is a short sketch of "full", right? It means containing a lot of something. If we translate "FRUITFUL" word for word, it mean a lot of apples, oranges, bananas etc...!! How juicy! Ha-ha-ha♪ But it's wrong. To be precise, it means producing good or useful results.
I love this word! And I thought again that English is interesting! I want to keep learning a lot of words. Oh, I'm so sleepy... Good night and see you tomorrow. Oops! already today! (-_-)..zzZ
