BR2-03: The Little Giraffe

Now I' ll introduce a book "The Little Giraffe". I chose this to review because I wondered about Giraffe in the book cover has not long neck. So I though it's surely interesting story. Well, I found two interesting point in this book.

First, the Giraffe and his friend, Rhino has same height. the view is strange, because the Giraffe is always taller than the Rhino. But the later half of the story, it will happen a interesting change.

Next, a wise old man's meaning of existence. It's the most important in this story. He is exactly key person. By the way, I'll briefly tell the plot of story.

‡Story‡
Once, there was a first little Giraffe in the world. He and his friend Rhino lived in East Africa. They always looked for food, because they were hungry. But they hardly can get them in the dry earth. So they went to see the wise man for help. The man told them "Come back tomorrow, I'll make a magic drink for you."

The next day, only Giraffe visited him. Giraffe didn't know why he has been here. Anyway, he started to drink the magic drink. He grew taller and taller. So he got high height to find food.

While, Rhino had found some dry grass, and he forgot all about the wise man. Giraffe came to him, and he said "What happened to you!?" Giraffe replied "I drunk the magic drink." There was no magic drink left. Rhino angry with the Giraffe , the wise man and himself. Therefore, the Rhino is still angry today, and the Giraffe has high height today... END.

‡Conclusion‡
I thought the Rhino is pity. Because He missed a big chance to be well-off for eating. Besides, he might has been stylish looks like the Giraffe but he didn't drink the magic drink. How wasteful!! so I was taught that to forget a promise is always trouble. And if I was Giraffe, I wanna left the magic drink for my friends, because they are precious.

◆Intro.◆

（1．Interesting points）

When I saw this movie's DVD cover, I mistook the old woman for authentic. So I was surprised later that she, Mrs. doubtfire is a disguised MAN!! To watch this movie, I was impressed especially 1) Daniel's charming personality, 2) Petty funny troubles by Mrs. Doubtfire, 3) Unusual family's life style. These are my three interesting points. Well, I'm going to briefly introduce the plot of story.

・Hero:Daniel (=Mrs.Doubtfire)

・His wife：Miranda(earnast)

・Children：Ridia(eldest daughter), Chris(eldest son), Natalie(second daughter)
・Rival in love : Stue(gentlemanly)

（3. The plot of story）

―Daniel has various voices, so he had worked as a funny voice actor. But one day he lost his job because of a quarrel with his boss. Although far from being discouraged, he horsed around with his children in house. So he is always to comical personality too be typical father. Because he dotes on his children. The other side Miranda is so serious. In the end she flew into a rage at his untidiness, and finally she took up divorce.

―As he court result, she got the right of bringing up children, while he was permitted to meet his children only once a week. He and children were so sad.

―She says to hire a housekeeper for take care of three children while she is working. Then Daniel went to his brother Frank who is a special make up artist. The purpose is that to disguise as a woman!! Make use of the artificial looks and various voice, Daniel succeeded to be hire their housekeeper named Mrs.Doubtfire. You know, anybody don't notice that she is their father. Besides, Miranda have really taken to her honesty and seriousness... (to be continue)

(1．Daniel's charming personality）

Almost people must think that Daniel's personality is societal trouble. I think so, too. But I can't simply hate him. For example, When the tenant procedures, Daniel tried to make a landlady laugh in fun again and again. Although she is so formal woman, that she didn't smiled at all. She said "Do you think that is funny?" He replayed "No. I've know that right now."

In this way, he always in fun. But only when talk about his children, he become desperate and tearful eyes. I understood how he loves his children in the moment. And only toward a matter of his children, he is the most serious man. In my opinion, Mrs.Doubtfire's earnestness is the expression of Daniel's one usually be hidden by joking. That's way, I like his strange personality.

(2.Petty funny troubles by Mrs. Doubtfire)

I can strongly say "Mrs.Doubtfire's funny blunder make up fifty percent of this movie's interests"!! You think so too, don't you? My favorite scene is when she cooks, she scorched her forged breast! And she tried to put out the fire by lids tapping. The action really made me lough. Next, when her wallet was almost stolen in a street, she drove back like a man among men! I love the gap between her figure and his real voice! There are any more funny blunders in this movie. Tears, angry, love, many engaging contents is in this movie. But the best reason why I think I want to this again is, that her petty funny troubles are awesome!!

(3.Unusual family's life style)

After all of case was settled, Daniel got his new job and how to live. Since that, Miranda has a better opinion of him. Although the couple kept a separated to the very end, the familial tie surely continued for a long. I objectively understood the ending, but if I was Miranda, I would return to Daniel. Because I think the family is to be together. Actually there are many families just like Daniel's family around the world. I wish they keep getting along forever even if each they are in separated.

I learned a important thing from Daniel. That is, "You must to be strict toward your children, if you so love them. And sometimes praise them." At first, Daniel was to love his children too make them well-bred by scolding. But on the way that acting as Mrs. Doubtfire, he learned a figure of typical father little by little. I also learned that together. It's good thing to play with children. No, if anything, it's necessity. But if you hope their happiness, you should strictly train them. I want to do it in my future.

WR2-0２; My Holy Town, OHZU~My favorite place~

Have you ever heard Ohzu(=大津)? Ohzu is a town located on the north part of Kumamoto. So where is the foot of Aso mountain. A famous river Shirakawa flows though Ohzu. And the weather is so trouble. Really cold winter, and really hot summer every year. But I love this town than somewhere else. In Ohzu, There are good people, good nature, good food, good culture... And the first thing here is my home town! My lovable family live in here all the time. Now, let me boast of my hometown!!

Speaking of Ohzu, here is well-known as a strong Ohzu high school soccer team. I'm a graduate of the department of P.E. of the class 2007. Ohzu high school is famous for not only soccer team, but basketball, baseball and art. The soccer team take part in the all japan champion ship almost every year. The team of this year advanced to the semifinals!! I'm really proud of their activity.

Next is about "Horidashikun(=HDK 掘り出しくん)"!! I know you don't know that and you'll think "What's such a crazy name!?" Well, this is nickname of sweet potato what is harvested in Ohzu. HDK tastes as sweet as useless sugar. Usually we eat it after we cooked Tenopura, Dagojiru, Manjyu made from HDK. Of course, only boil or bake are also nice! The most famous food using HDK in Kumamoto is "Ikinari dango"! You've heard it , didn't you!? It's a steamed bum contains HDK and Japanese bean jam. I'm a Ikinaridango freak! Ha-ha. You could see the special shops throughout Kumamoto, so

let's try to eat if you've ever eaten.

By the way, Ohzu traditional "Karaimo Festival" is coming soon. It will hold at next Sunday(November 9). The festival's contents are artists concert, talk show, cooking contest using HDK, bazzaar, street stalls and so on. Beides, people could join the big event what you could dig and carry back sweet potatos as much as you like for 1000 yen! It's really profitable! Many families joyfully take part in this event every year. They usually get muddy in the end. I had pasted below Ohzu official website that you could see the details. Please see that later.

Third, Ohzu is comfortable town. Here is really rural, but there is also proper city when you get to the center of Ohzu. Almost the people will exchange greeting with you. So Ohzu people are all kind! By the way, my home is surrounded many nature, a primary school and a bate ball park. I'm always moved the sunset and sunrise from here to see. Here is Jinnai area in Ohzu. When we leave for north about 2km from here, we could get to the most prosper area. There are Jusco, Live(Karaoke box), 100yen shop, Tsutaya, Ohzu library, Ohzu station and so on. My friends and I used to play at Jusco or Karaoke after school, with eating HDK tenpura. This is called "Imoten". So I have full of confidence in guidance of how to play in Ohzu! Would you play in Ohzu with me someday!? Ha-ha^^

Finally, I'll tell you the most strong reason why I love Ohzu so much. That is, my dearest people and precious memories are in here. I had lived in only Ohzu all my life. A lot of friends and I are always get along, and we could talk about many good old memories. Among all of my friend, my old basketball team mates are the best friends. We used to have many hard time on the court of Ohzu J. high school's gym. And we used to lough, fight and cry together for a long time. I really long for those days.
And the first thing my family always warmly receive me. I'm sure I could keep myself being cheerful by their help, exactly. To tell the truth, recently my grandfather passed away. We have lost a member of family for the first time, so we are still in the saddest days we have ever had. So now I felt keenly what a blessing family is. When I go back Ohzu, I could sense that my late grandfather and my family warmly watch me. I know they continually give me selfless love and my friend give me energy. I can never thank them enough. In short, there are my treasures too much!! Therefore, I love Ohzu anyway. Here is ordinary place, but here is heaven for me! Why don't you come here once!? I'll guide you!
